Parking Information

The Alamodome now has 2 patron drop-off and pick-up locations for events. These areas are located at the north end of Lot B on S. Cherry St. and there is a dedicated location specifically for our disabled patrons in Lot A.
Alamodome patrons should know that, while access is unrestricted prior to the beginning of the event, vehicles will not be allowed to return to these locations until at least 30 minutes from the time the event ends. Vehicles will be allowed to enter the locations prior to the closure of inbound traffic approaching the Alamodome. Should these areas be filled with vehicles waiting for patrons to return, overflow vehicles will be directed out of the areas and must relocate to an area of the driver’s choosing away from the Alamodome.
Vehicles returning to the Lot B drop-off and pick-up location are advised to approach the area eastbound on Cesar Chavez Blvd. to S. Cherry Street. Vehicles returning Lot A disabled patron drop-off and pick-up location should return using the IH 37 northbound access road.
The Taxi/Limousine drop-off and pick-up area is located near the Southeast Staircase on the north side of Lot A.

  • Lot A - Disability Access Parking, Drop-off for mobility impaired, and Permit Parking Only.  No General Parking.
  • Lots B and C – General Parking.  Parking gates open two hours before event doors open.  No tailgating or overnight parking.
  • Disabled Veteran - In accordance with Texas State Law, vehicles with the following license plates receive complimentary parking in any of the lots allowing paid parking, if being used in the transportation of the person who registered the license plate:  Disabled Veteran, Congressional Medal of Honor, Former POW, Pearl Harbor Survivor, Purple Heart, Legion of Merit, Air Force Cross, Distinguished Service Cross, or Navy Cross.
  • Major event parking - Patrons should plan to arrive at least 2 hours before start of event.  We strongly encourage the use of VIA Park and Ride service.
  • Lot A is designated for Disabled and Permit Parking only.

The Downtown trolley yellow route (which drops off on the north side of the Alamodome) has been replaced by the ONE HUNDRED PRIMO.  It travels to Sunset Station, Monday through Sunday, from 4:22am until Midnight. Cut and paste the link below to see a route map on the VIA website.

If you are staying downtown, this is an easy way to get to the Alamodome without the hassles of traffic and parking.

The regular bus routes on Cesar Chavez Street are 26 and 30  and the hours are Saturday—Sunday from 6:00am to 11:00PM.

Try this convenient way to get to events at the Alamodome: San Antonio B-Cycle bike sharing. Two locations at the Ellis Alley Park & Ride and Sunset Station currently service the Alamodome area. Check out bikes from 53 popular locations in and around downtown and along the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River. Buy an annual membership in advance or for the day or week on demand at any kiosk. You can download the B-Cycle smart phone app to help plan your trip.
