Softball and Baseball Playoff Dates
With softball and baseball playoffs about to begin, we are providing the following information related to potential scheduling conflicts with state testing windows.

For Softball Playoffs – Bi-District playoff round;  April 26-April 29

If a school is testing for Biology or US History this week (the week designated by TEA as the primary administration), state law states no post season softball contest may be played Monday through Thursday of this week until the day after testing is completed. Post season playoff games could occur the day after testing for Biology or US History is complete. For example, if testing in these two areas is completed on Wednesday, Thursday is an available playing date

If a school is testing for English I or English II this week, post season games are not prohibited, as this week is not the primary assessment week for those tests according to the Texas Education Agency.

For Softball Playoffs – Area playoff round; May 1 – May 6
For Baseball Playoffs – Bi-District playoff round;  May 3 – May 6

If a school is testing for Algebra I this week, (the week designated by TEA as the primary administration), state law states no post season contest may be played Monday through Thursday of this week until the day after testing is completed. Post season playoff games in baseball and softball could occur the day after testing for Algebra I is complete. For example, if Algebra I testing is completed on Wednesday, Thursday is an available playing date.
