2026-2027 Spirit Update
Spirit is an extracurricular activity that focuses on the traditional game day role cheerleaders have on the sidelines and in schools supporting athletic teams. At the UIL Spirit State Championships, schools will compete in three categories: crowd leading, fight song, and band chant.
It is important that each UIL member school stay current with all UIL rules and policies. This page contains activity specific rules and information for spirit. For additional information on UIL rules, refer to the policy section of the website.
