Academic Coordinator & Speech Coach Registration
We have recently updated our systems to allow Academic Coordinators, Speech & Debate Coaches, and Academic Coaches to be able to register using the same form. It is no longer necessary for the Academic Coordinator to provide us with the names of the coaches for each event. This form should be filled out each year by all high school Academic Coordinators and Speech & Debate Coaches so that we have up to date contact information. It is optional for all other Academic Coaches, though filling it out is highly recommended. The HS Academic Coach/Coordinator Registration Form should be submitted prior to October 1.
UIL names 211 students to 2026 All-State Journalism Staff
Students who earn more than 50 points through competition at the local, regional, state and national levels earn acceptance to the All-State Journalism Staff. For 2026, UIL recognizes 211 students for overall excellence in scholastic journalism from UIL competition to yearbook, newspaper, online news and broadcast journalism competitions. Congratulations to all these outstanding students and their advisers.

The UIL A+ Academics Meet designations and timeframes are changing beginning the 2026-2027 school year to allow for more flexibility. The previously used invitational and district meet designations to refer to the materials will be referred to as Set A, Set B, and Set C. Please see this documentfor more information.
