UIL names 211 students to 2026 All-State Journalism Staff
Students who earn more than 50 points through competition at the local, regional, state and national levels earn acceptance to the All-State Journalism Staff. For 2026, UIL recognizes 211 students for overall excellence in scholastic journalism from UIL competition to yearbook, newspaper, online news and broadcast journalism competitions. Congratulations to all these outstanding students and their advisers.

The UIL A+ Academics Meet designations and timeframes are changing beginning the 2026-2027 school year to allow for more flexibility. 2026-28 Music Alignments Announced
UIL has released the 2026-28 music alignments, to include area assignments. Geographically contiguous music regions are assigned to areas by the UIL, while also considering the projected number of competing schools based on recent region contest ratings.
