AUSTIN— The State Executive Committee Meeting of the University Interscholastic League met Wednesday to hand down decisions on eligibility of student athletes and issue penalties for UIL rule violations.
Elgin High School coach Darryl Faulks was denied his appeal of an ejection from a contest and was issued two years probation and a public reprimand.
Bandera High School coach Clifton Tierney’s appeal of an ejection was granted, overturning the ejection and waiving the automatic penalty.
Student athletes from Columbia High School, Laredo Alexander High School and Fort Worth Arlington Heights High School were denied appeals for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committees.
