AUSTIN, TX — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Thursday to issue penalties for potential rules violations.

Gainesville High School Head Football Coach Neil Searcy was issued a one-season suspension from football, three-year’s probation, a public reprimand and additional training.

The Gainesville High School Football Program was issued a four-practice suspension during preseason workouts and the loss of one scrimmage.

The Gainesville High School Athletic Program was issued three-year’s probation and a public reprimand.
