AUSTIN, TX — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Monday to hand down decisions on eligibility of student-athletes and issue penalties for UIL rule violations.
Student-athletes from Tom Bean High School and El Paso Americas High School were denied an appeal for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.
Dallas Gateway Charter Academy was issued a suspension from all athletic activities immediately until school officials appear before the State Executive Committee. At that time, the committee will determine any penalties for any potential UIL rule violations.
