AUSTIN, TX — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday to issue penalties for UIL rule violations.

A student-athlete from Milford High School was suspended from all participation in all UIL extracurricular activities for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. Another student-athlete from Milford High School was suspended from participation in UIL athletic activities for the rest of the 2024-25 basketball season, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.

Milford High School Head Girls Basketball Coach JaFinis Huggins was denied an appeal of a public reprimand, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.

A student-athlete from Avalon High School was suspended from participation in UIL athletic activities for the rest of the 2024-25 basketball season and the first six softball games following the basketball season's conclusion.
