AUSTIN, Texas — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday to hand down decisions on the eligibility of student-athletes and determine rules violations.
Student-athletes from Georgetown Gateway College Prep. and Prosper High School were denied an appeal for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.
Port Isabel High School Football Coach Kyle DeMoss and Palacios High School Football Coach Trent Weixelman were denied an appeal of an ejection from a contest. They were both issued a one-year probation, a public reprimand and additional training.
