AUSTIN, TX- Two student athletes will remain ineligible for varsity athletics and penalties were assessed to a high school soccer program as a result of decisions handed down by the State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League on Wednesday.
Students from Coppell High School and Pflugerville High School were declared ineligible for varsity athletics by the State Executive Committee for changing schools for athletic purposes.
Additionally, the Lewisville Marcus High School soccer program was issued a public reprimand and placed on one year of probation for an incident involving physical and verbal abuse of a sports official by a student athlete. The head soccer coach was also issued a public reprimand and one-year probation.
