AUSTIN, Texas — The District Assignment Appeals Committee of the University Interscholastic League heard 7 appeals regarding reclassification and realignment Monday. The committee, composed of UIL Legislative Council members, heard testimony from all interested parties regarding each appeal.

The District Assignment Appeals Committee voted to deny appeals from Midland Young Women’s (Volleyball), Waco Meyer (Basketball/Volleyball), Cumberland Academy (Basketball/Volleyball), Great Hearts Northern Oaks (Basketball/Volleyball), Great Hearts Monte Vista North (Basketball/Volleyball), and Rio Grande City Grulla (Football).

The committee granted an appeal from Pawnee (Basketball) to move from District 1A-32 to District 1A-30.

Additional approved appeals receiving a majority vote at the district level include Terlingua Big Bend (Basketball), moving from District 1A-10 to District 1A-9 and Kirbyville (Volleyball), moving from District 3A-21 to District 3A-22.
