UIL Agrees to Multi-Year Extension with Baden as Official Ball

AUSTIN— The University Interscholastic League today announced a multi-year contract extension with Baden Sports Inc., to continue as the exclusive provider of athletic balls for all UIL state and regional tournaments. The agreement extends a partnership that began during the 2010-11 school year, and ensures Texas high-school championships will continue to be contested using Baden’s highest-quality athletic balls. The “all-sports” agreement covers baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball and volleyball.

“Baden has demonstrated its commitment to interscholastic sports in Texas and we’re pleased to be extending the partnership for several more years,” said Dr. Charles Breithaupt, UIL Executive Director. “Their athletic balls are consistently among the best in the industry – across sports – and it’s that attention to quality that makes Baden the best overall choice for our championship competitions.”

The Baden balls used officially by the UIL include:

Baseball: Perfection® Pro 3B-PPRO;

Basketball: Perfection® Elite™ Game Ball – BX7E for boys, BX6E for girls;

Football: QB1™ F7000L;

Soccer: Perfection® Elite™ SX751-CPL for boys and girls;

Softball: Perfection® Leather Game Ball 2BSFPY;

Volleyball: Perfection® VX5EC-210, featuring a red, white and navy color pattern;
