General UIL Portal Questions

- I am an ISD Athletic Director and my ISD is a CURRENT Rank One subscriber; what do I need to do?
- Existing Rank One subscriber schools, to help ensure a smooth UIL transition, please complete the following setup steps in Rank One as soon as possible.

- I am an ISD Athletic Director, my ISD is NOT a CURRENT Rank One subscriber AND we have not gone through any onboarding process yet with Rank One; what do I need to do?
- If your district is not a current Rank One subscriber, to help ensure a smooth UIL transition, please complete the following setup steps in Rank One as soon as possible.

- I am an ISD Athletic Director, my ISD is NOT a CURRENT Rank One subscriber. How do we import students to Rank One?
- If your district is not a current Rank One subscriber, you can manually import your students.

- I am an Organizing Chair or newly elected DEC Chair for 2026-2027, what do I need to do?
- Please check/verify your profile in Rank One and be sure to update your UIL DEC Chair and DEC Member role(s) (as applicable), including indicating the applicable sport(s) for each DEC position. Make sure to designate the school selections that correspond with your DEC role. Instuctions can be found HERE.
- What do I do about my Atavus certifications?

The new Portal and Atavus will be linked to provide certificates of completed certifications. More information regarding CCP will be released as it becomes available.
As a reminder, the only coaches that are required to certify before the 2026-2027 school year are those coaches who will be new to the state of Texas or those coaches who have not completed both 1.0 and 2.0. Coaches who completed version 1.0 in 2024 will need to complete version 2.0 before August 3rd, 2026.
- I have other questions that aren't answered here, what do I do?
- If you have any addtional questions about the Portal, Rank One or next steps, please contact UIL staff at uilportal@uiltexas.org for guidance during this transition. We will update these FAQs with addtional information as common questions are submitted.
- How do I submit my varsity eligibilty list?
- Until the Varsity Eligibility List feature is available in the UIL Portal, schools should download the PDF version of the form from our website HERE, complete it, and email it to their DEC Chair. This temporary process will remain in place until the full portal functionality related to varsity eligiblity lists is released.
