SMBC Open Class Registration Procedures

NEW - Early Registration

Early registration is now available! Bands may complete their registration in advance. Following area, registrations for bands advancing to state will remain active and no further action will be needed.

Registration Deadlines

1A/3A/5A state qualifying bands must register online BY 10:00 AM ON SUNDAY, October 25. 
2A/4A/6A state qualifying bands must register online BY 10:00 AM ON SUNDAY, November 1.

Fees

REGISTRATION - $500

EQUIPMENT TRUCK – $100 per equipment truck. IMPORTANT - The equipment truck procedures in Lot A will be enforced. Be sure this information is shared with the loading crew.

PARTICIPANT BUS  – $100 per participant bus. 

Registration Checklist

DIRECTOR REGISTRATION CHECKLIST - Review the checklist before you begin. It includes the information and materials you will need to complete your registration.

REPERTOIRE – The video streaming provider requires the title and composer for all show music. This information will be submitted when completing registration.​

ANNOUNCER SCRIPT – Script information will be collected as part of the registration form. UIL will use the information provided to prepare your announcer script.

*NEW* Photographic Consent and Release Form - Each student, or a parent/guardian if the student is under 18, is to complete the Photographic Consent and Release Form. 

*NEW* Head Coach/Director Photographic Consent and Release Certification Form - Once all required student consent forms have been completed, the director is to complete the Head Coach/Director Photographic Consent and Release Certification Form confirming that all required photo consents have been collected.

Post Registration Information

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION - Directors will receive a link to the participant information online. All director credentials will be picked up in Lot C. No contest materials will be mailed.

COMPLIMENTARY PRELIM TICKETS - Each band will receive 10 complimentary administrator PRELIMS tickets. Tickets will be delivered digitally through Ticketmaster.

Invoice

An invoice will be sent to each school AFTER the state contest. Submit the invoice for processing and payment of fees. NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE CONTEST SITE​.
