Notice of Credential Use Conditions

All individuals granted media credentials agree to the following conditions.

The Bearer of this Credential acknowledges receipt and review of, and agrees to be bound by, the conditions stated below. This credential is issued for the sole purpose of providing access to accredited media who have a legitimate working function in connection with the University Interscholastic League Sate Championships. This credential is non-transferable and may be revoked at any time without cause. Any unauthorized use of credentials subjects the bearer to ejection from the venue and prosecution for criminal trespass.

Any photograph or video taken at a University Interscholastic League State Championship event may not be reproduced displayed or used for personal purposes or financial gain.  This credentials authorizes the use, solely by the assigning news organization and solely for news and editorial coverage of the Event, of the descriptions accounts, photographs films, audio or video recordings, or drawings of or relating to the Event (including, without limitation, any interviews, press conferences or other venue activities related to the Event) taken, made, created, or compiled by the Bearer while attending the Event (collectively, “Materials”). For the avoidance of doubt, Materials may not be exploited by the assigning news organization at any time for any purpose other than news and editorial use. Any other use or attempted use by the Bearer or the assigning news organization at any time and for any purpose is expressly prohibited, unless the organization has obtained the advance, written permission of the University Interscholastic League.

As between the Bearer and the assigning news organization and the University Interscholastic League, The UIL is the exclusive owner of all copyrights trademarks, and other proprietary rights in its names and logos, and in the Event and all Materials (in any and all media) related thereto, except for the assigning news organization’s materials created pursuant to and authorized by this credential.

The Bearer and the assigning news organization assume all risk related to or incidental to, and hereby release the University Interscholastic League, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability arising in connection with, attending the Evert or creating or using Materials. The assigning news organization agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the University Interscholastic League, its officers, employees and agents from and against all liability, loss, damage or expense arising out of the issuance of this credential, the Bearer’s presence in the venue, or any other activity of the Bearer or assigning news organization in connection with the Event (including, without limitation, any claims that Materials infringe the intellectual property rights, publicity rights or other rights of any third party).

Live Event Distribution: Live event coverage of University Interscholastic League Athletics is subject to contractual agreements with the League’s broadcast partners and multi-media agencies.

Note to Television Stations Regarding Use of Game/Competition Video: The University Interscholastic League media policy permits television entities to use up to two (2) minutes of video highlights on air, for all Event coverage combined (whether taken from the network feed or shot themselves).

Attendance at the Event constitutes agreement by the assigning news organization and the Bearer to abide by the foregoing conditions.
