I competed in CX policy debate in high school all r years and Speech Extemp Oratory and Impromptu. I also competed in all speech events in College for 3 years. I volunteered to help as a judge for a high school 13 years ago.

Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I take both sides arguments into account. I am unbiased. I do not mind speed as long as I can understand enough to flow the arguments. I believe the contestants should be respectful and professional. Research backed by reliable sources are vital.

Philosophy:
I have judged LD debate as a judge years ago but I only participated in CX debate in high school. I do not have a specific philosophy.
