Judging qualifications:
I participated in CX Debate for all four years of my high school career. I qualified for the state CX meet all four years, as well (2023 - 2026). I medaled at the state meet in 2024 and 2025 as a quarterfinalist. I received 5th Place Speaker and the title of State Champion at the 2026 CX state meet.

Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: Respectful communication and good sportsmanship are necessities for productive debate and will impact speaker points. While I lean towards a policymaker style of judging, I do prioritize proper engagement with stock issues. I will vote on any style of argument (Stock issues, Topicality Ks, DAs, Theory, etc) as long as it is adequately presented/defended. My personal preference for argument style does not trump a well-made argument from the Aff or Neg.
