Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence is more important than quality of evidence
Paradigm: Presentation of information is the key to winning a round. Focusing on big ticket items such as the quantity of information or how your information is superior to your opponents is of the upmost importance.
LD
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
Taking your evidence and applying it to the resolution is the most important thing in the round. If you can not draw reasonable conclusions between your evidence and how it proves your value and criterion to be the most important and best upheld throughout the round.
