Judging qualifications:
I am a former policy Debater (Shout out to '18 won 6th team at UIL state). I evaluate rounds primarily through a tech-over-truth paradigm—dropped arguments are generally considered true unless they are internally inconsistent or clearly unintelligible.
I vote for the team that does the best job of comparing impacts and clearly explaining why their impacts outweigh in terms of magnitude, probability, and timeframe. Simply extending arguments is not enough—explicit weighing is required.
I am comfortable with speed and most policy arguments including DAs, counterplans, and theory. Please be respectful and remember to have fun!
