Judging qualifications:
I have a Doctorate in Education and have a certification in Speech. I recently joined fellow educators in judging. I have observed a few LD and PF debates. While judging, I am looking for a clear and well-supported argument, over complex theory. I value a strong framework that clearly defines the key issues in the round. I will weigh evidence heavily when evaluating arguments along with good explanations and sound reasoning. Speed is acceptable as long as it does not hinder the understandability of the arguments that are being made. I prefer a respectful and civil debate style with clear rebuttals.
