Judging qualifications:
I’m a retired teacher with a deep appreciation for UIL academics. I coached prose and poetry for much of my teaching career, along with other academic events, as teachers in small schools tend to work with varied groups of students. I attended summer UIL conferences and fall student conferences to develop my skills, and I’ve judged at many meets over the years. I continue to work with students and teachers in my former district when asked.
