I have competed in every event. I went to UIL state for Extemp, CX, and Congress. I went to NSDA nationals for CX. I went to TFA state for CX. I did speech and debate all 4 years in high school, have coached for 2 officially, and have helped teams and judged for an additional 2 years.
My philosophy depends on the event. For CX and LD I am tab. For extemp, congress, and interp, your speaking skills/performance is just as important to me as what is said.
