I believe that speech and debate is an artform. Communciation is the base neccessity of these events as well as the factuality and the quality of arguments. Delivery is important as well. Overall, I look for the best all-around competitor and believe that posessing the "all-around" quality deserves recognition for how truly difficult it is.

Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: Tabula rasa. Everything goes as well as it is done correctly. At it's very essence, debate includes civil discourse against an opponent in a respectful yet convincing manner. I weigh everything equally and take everything into account.
