I have done LD debate since middle school and continued through high school. In college I do parli. I also briefly did CX for about a year and a half in high school.

Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I am very tech over truth. I am okay with spreading, kritikal, and theory arguments. I can also handle lay debate. Do what you want - the round is yours. If given no mechanism on how to evaluate the round I default util.

I am very tech over truth. If you run a value/VC you need to make sure your VC is just a mechanism to uphold the ethical concept you are valuing.
