Judging qualifications:
I was an LD debater in high school in Wisconsin. I also participated in Student Congress and Extemp, though LD was my main focus. I competed at State and Nationals multiple times (National Forensics League (now NSDA) and NDCA). I judged a little during and after college, but recently moved to Texas. I'm not connected to any schools here, but would love to get involved as a judge. After high school I got my B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin Madison, M.S. in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, and a J.D. I am now an attorney.

Approach: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Philosophy:
I will flow and decide the round based on whatever standards are established during the round. As long as I can understand the speakers, I don't mind if debaters speak quickly.
