Judging qualifications:
I have coached Prose and Poetry students to the UIL State Meet in three different conferences — 3A, 4A and 6A — throughout my career. I have also coached TFA and NSDA interp competitors advancing students to State and Nationals, with TFA Championships in both Duet Acting and Dramatic Interp. I see the differences between acting events and folder events, as I am admittedly “old school.” I am familiar with the categories, their requirements and their intent. I also understand the rules of the contest.
