Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 4
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I prefer to take the role of the policy maker but would more describe myself as tabula rasa at the end of the day. I will judge the round and evaluate voters as it is framed in the debate. I dont mind critical arguments but would prefer to remain within the realm of traditional policy debate.

LD

Rounds judged: 3
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
Traditional LD debate; will evaluate policy positions if they come but would prefer to keep it philosophical
