Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I favor rhetorical strategies and communication practices that would work in "real life." That is to say, behaviors like spreading, highly esoteric kritics and theory cases and other behaviors that would be ridiculous outside of school do not usually win my ballot (depending, of course, on the opposition). I also believe a judge is not there to make arguments for the competitors in his/her head. Debaters have to explicitily state why they should win with clear crystalization and rebuttals. Clash is paratmount.
