Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: At the end of the day, I will vote on whether or not I believe we should do the plan. I believe the heart of debate lies in stock issues and Disads, but I love a good Counterplan if you know how to run it. You can try a Kritik, but at the end of the day you had better know what you're arguing, how it links to the plan, and why I should vote for you. Spreading is ok, I'll let you know if you need to slow down, but I believe if you have made your point after a few cards, no need to run down the clock. And please do some framing/roadmaps before you start your speech. I'll also keep time just to make things easy. If you want more speaker points, making slow, clear, and concise arguments with eye contact is the way to go for me. Good luck!
