Judging qualifications:
I’m a complete tab judge. I purely look at who argued best in any given round based on responses to opponents, and carrying the material of their case throughout a round.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 10
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I vote for the best team in terms of offense and defense. i look at the round purely from what i am told by a team. any outside knowledge other than basic information is only applied when evidence is provided by a given team.

LD

Rounds judged: 3
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
Same as CX. I judge purely on the content of the round provided to me by both teams. However one exception is that I believe a framework or value-criterion is necessary being LD. However this can be articulated and debated in any manner in accordance to the rules of LD.
