In high school, I participated in extemp for three years, as well as humorous prose, duet, oral interpretation of drama (OID), and entertainment speaking. I served as co-captain of the speech team my senior year. I have had many public speaking opportunities via improv groups, community theater productions, and my jobs, which often involve dozens of presentations per year to high school or college students. I taught introduction to public speaking courses at North Carolina State between 2019 and 2020, and I previously judged a speech meet while I lived in Washington, D.C. I have degrees in broadcasting and communication.
