Judging qualifications:
I have participated in many Uil events. I completed mostly in Extempterouns and LD debate. I have competed from invitational meets to regionals. I had the opportunity to be in many rounds. Also watching rounds in Oral Interp and CX debate. I have been competing for 4 years and have been through many different topics and subjects. I feel with my past I could be a very adequate and constructive judge.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I only competed in Cx for one year. The ideas to LD are minimally similar but still evident.

LD

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I like clash. I want the debater to be able to uphold value/criterion arguments. I also want to see an understanding of the framework of the resolution. Along with good speaking qualities.
