Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: Ideally, I want to see clear communication, meaning sign posting and organization and I want to see good argumentation meaning arguments that are properly cited and internally, logically, consistent.

LD

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I want to see clear communication as I described above, but just as importantly I want to see that the debater really understands the value they're advocating for.
