Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: Speed is not important to me. If you can speak fast, and still be understood, that is fine, if I cannot understand you, then slow down and take you time. The quality of your arguments is far more important to me than the speed at which you present it. You entire speech does not need to be you shoving evidence down my throat, I want to see you make connections between evidence, not everything has to come from a card. That being said, do not BS your arguments because you are unprepared. When presented with unchallenged framework, I will consider it when making my decisions. If framework is challenged, I will vote on it first and foremost. If neither is presented, I will revert to a policy-making stance. After all, this is policy debate. I believe debate is first and foremost educational, educate me, educate your opponent, educate yourselves.
