Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 15
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I want to hear good, solid case arguments with good solid evidence. After 1at AFF, line-by-line is really essential. I intensely dislike kritiks.

LD

Rounds judged: 8
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
While solid communications skills are preferable, I also prefer well-constructed cases on both sides, with well-supported value, criterion and contentions. Refuting the opponent's arguments is also necessary, so following the flow and providing warrants is critical.
