Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I look for a clear message in the formation of a proposal and then a rebuttal that is considerate of the information disseminated from the affirmative team.

LD

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I use the same methodology as the CX judging style, however, I am looking for clear reasoning and evidence that negates the opposition. Too many times, opinion and bias come into play without regard to appropriate citations.
