Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 5
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: My preference in a CX debate is specificity. I am open to any argument so long as it is not immorally outrageous. I am a stock issues judge, so I am looking to hear the SIs and in an organized manner. I believe debate is a communication contests, just as equally as it is argument. I appreciate well-spoken/understandable debaters.

LD

Rounds judged: 7
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
In an LD round, I like to see clash and each debater defend their V and C to the END. I also think that debate etiquette is important--- as far as each opponent respecting the other.
