Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Other (please explain below)
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm:

LD

Rounds judged: 2
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
Speaker points matter, but I have judged low point win rounds before due to the ability of the competitor to better prove their case and disprove their opponent's case. I need to be able to hear what is being said, so if they speak too quickly, the content and weight of their arguments are lost.
