Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 5
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I am tab and bring philosophy from both the policy and stock sides. I believe a round should be full of clash, whether it be on case or not. I don't want to see a pile of arguments ran just to be ran. I like to see depth and attack with arguments and defense.

LD

Rounds judged: 3
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I believe the heart of LD debate is the value/criterion. I want to see a case that a lot of support for the value and one that uses the criterion to achieve the value. More clash the better.
