Judging qualifications:
I participated in LD debate as well as Extempt speaking, both informative and persuasive and student congress. Speaking events such as these are very helpful in developing skills needed in every day life. My judging philosophy includes all aspects of speaking. I look at the speaking ability of all participants and how well they formulate and deliever their material. Ifeally I would like to see ideas that are fully formed, that flow and are delivered well. In debate and or congress I would like to see participants logically argue their points and do so in a calm, cool, collected way.
