Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 6
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: Kritikal or stock debate is fine. T-debate's are usually a wash, however will evaluate on competing interps, unlessed framed for reasonability. For the rest of the off, I'm highly a tech person in terms of the structure of the off. Speed is cool, but it's UIL so i might have to hold you to it.

LD

Rounds judged: 10+
Approach: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Philosophy:
Traditional or progressive debate is cool. Framework is pretty vital when a traditional debate hits a progressive debater so I can have a clear praxis on how I evaluate the round.
