When I was in high school I participated in poetry and prose for all four years. I was the speaking captain for three years and I have lead strong prose/poetry teams. I started doing poetry and prose in 7th grade, so I have had plenty of experience with this. I also participated in many theatre events and had much success because of my speech competition roots. I am a junior in college at SMU and I love hearing others perform pieces of work. The competition scene makes my adrenaline rush, and I cannot wait to dive back into it.
