Judging qualifications:
In high school I competed and qualified for state in both Congress and CX debate. I also competed in extemporaneous speaking, winning many debate tournaments and qualifying for Regionals. I did storytelling starting in 3rd grade and competed every year until graduation in Prose/Poetry. In college, I worked full-time for an attorney exposing me to many legal cases and real-world debates. In addition, I have been to multiple conferences that discuss real world issues (including a presidential inauguration). I have been second runner up in a ligation contest with the piece "Defining Cyber Warfare" at the Student Conference on National Affairs. Post-graduation I work in the consulting industry as a Cyber Security consultant. My job engages public speaking and presentation skill sets every day.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I have been more prone to stock issues because it allows the debater to stay organized when focusing on the key issues at hand. Although, I am not opposed to other approaches. As long as the point is communicated across effectively with the correct evidence. I am keen to notice dropped arguments.
