Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 15
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I will usually vote on whatever is brought forth in a round. However, evidence needs to be complete and to the point. There should be no card cuts in order to omit relevant evidence in the round. I will not put up with attitudes. If arguments do not have the proper framework, they will not be flowed. If there is no clash it isn't a debate.

LD

Rounds judged: 30
Approach: Communication skills are more important than resolution of substantive issues
Philosophy:
Value and Criteria are a must have for me. I'm very progressive, but arguments should follow the correct framework. Clarity in arguments is necessary, that includes spreading.
