UIL Speech Judges

Judging qualifications:
Not only did I compete in middle school, junior high, and high school speaking events, I also minored in communications in college and participated in speaking events there. My profession in local government (15 years) as a planning director/development services director means that I practice persuasive and informative speaking on a weekly basis. I also speak at conferences, and write technical papers and reports. The combination of this experience has helped me to be an excellent orator and I think I can contribute positively to the UIL - I'm a big supporter of UIL as it made such a difference in my childhood and college scholarships.
