Judging qualifications:
I value the skill, talent, and ability to excel in the prose, poetry, and public speaking events. An abundance of what I had learned in my years of UIL I still use today. One of my life’s greatest mentors was my speech teacher and I truly feel I want to be a part of a student’s similar story in their life. Literature is an art and we need to continue to embrace the learning and fun involved in it. I feel I am qualified because I know what these students are feeling, how they prepare, and how to provide feedback for growth.
