PLANNING AHEAD. Wood brought two newspaper and two yearbook staff members to the ILPC Convention. The trip marks the first time Galena Park High School journalism has travelled in eight years. "When I took this job at the beginning of the year, I wanted to change the culture of journalism at Galena Park," Wood said. "I wanted to show my students what the world of yearbook and newspaper can offer them both in high school as well as in a career."
