Judging qualifications:
During my time as a UIL participant, I worked endlessly to have a thorough understanding about Speech etiquette. By doing thus I gathered four years as a participant in Persuasive Speaking, Prose, One Act Play, and CX Debate. I ended my career having made it as the 3A State Champion for Prose. In doing so I can judge, based on preformances, what a seasoned performer would look like from a novice by taking into account basic speech structure and appearance.

Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: No matter how the round went, unless the majority of major attacks by the Neg is covered by the Aff during the duration of the round, only then can I say the round would flow to the Aff. Evidence is critical to winning but not in just how much you can give, but mostly in how easily you are able to understand it and show me than you understand it, than I can take it into full account. Also debate is just about poise as any other event so always take in mind how you come off to bothe the opponent and to me.
