Judging qualifications:
I have been involved in speech performance and debate for 7 years as a competitor and several years as an assistant coach and judge at the high school and college level. This activity has been life-changing for me and it is all because of the people who dedicate their time and expertise to help students learn and improve through performance and competition. I have been a UIL competitor for three years in high school and received 2nd place in the state of Texas for Prose Interpretation. I judged the UIL and TFA Harvard tournament (among others) while attending school at UT Austin. I have extensive knowledge in all of the individual events as I competed in and coached them for many years at the high school and college level. I feel as though I am a fair judge who wants to give back to the community that has given so much to me.
